It’s tempting to feel that BMW was actually trying to be controversial with the new hot 3-series. For a start, the M3 Coupe is dead. Just as the two-door Three is now the 4-series (confused yet?), the flagship 4-series wears the new ‘M4’ badge.
Porsche is offering a Powerkit for the Carrera S with 424bhp and an Aerokit Cup bodykit for the faux GT3 look. The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera has only been with us for five minutes but already Porsche are offering more power and some add-on aero bits for a bit of a faux GT3 experience for new 911 owners. On the power front, Porsche Exclusive is offering a Powerkit for the 911 Carrera S which ups its power to 430hp (424bhp) from the regular 400hp.
Alfa Romeo 4C arriving in 2013
The Alfa Romeo 4C – a compact, mid-engined RWD sports car – teased by Alfa at Geneva & Frankfurt – will arrive in 2013. The Alfa Romeo 4C holds a lot of promise as a small mid-engined and very light sports car. And Alfa Romeo has seemed serious about their baby 8C, turning up at both Geneva 2011 and Frankfurt 2011 with concept versions of the 4C.
